The First Announcement for 2018 SETI Workshop
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to issue the first announcement for a SETI Workshop to be held 14-16 November 2018 in Guangzhou Oriental Resort. This workshop is hosted jointly by the Berkeley SETI Research Center (BSRC), Beijing Normal University (BNU), Peking University (PKU), Guangzhou University (GZHU), the Jodrell Bank Discovery Center and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). This is the first time for SETI workshop to be held in China. The workshop brings together researchers from SETI, radio astronomy, exoplanets, AI and related fields from around the world, committing to promoting international research collaboration. It will focus on four key themes:
• Astronomical Facilities in China,
• Exoplanets and Habitability,
• Radio, Infrared and Optical SETI,
• AI, Machine Learning and Data Mining.
The workshop is now open for registration (

). The deadline for early bird registraion is 21 September 2018 and the registration will be closed by 5 October 2018. Registration Fee: 1000 CNY for scholars (800 CNY for early bird registration) and 500 CNY for students (400 CNY for early bird registration).
