报告人简介：

    Professor Boonrucksar Soonthornthum was the former Executive Director, National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT), Ministry of Science and Technology since 2009. He was also the former Dean of the Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University. He is now the Research Advisor overseeing the research and development at NARIT.

    His research interest is on Stellar Astrophysics, especially the study of Physical Properties and Evolution of Close Binaries Systems. He published more than 50 papers in the international astronomy journals.

    He also serves as an executive Board of the National Research Council of Thailand in Physical Science and Mathematics, President of the Southeast Asia Astronomy Network (SEAAN). He is also a Peer Reviewer of several National/International Scientific Journals.
